Starting counselling is a significant step, and it's natural to have uncertainties. We aim to make the process as clear and comfortable as possible. Below are answers to questions often asked by our clients, covering everything from session details to confidentiality.

Where are my sessions held?

Sessions are currently held in my beautiful relaxing garden room in Bishops Cleeve, or online nationwide.

How long do sessions last?

Each counselling session lasts for 50 minutes.

How much do sessions cost?

Each session is £60. We operate on a pay-as-you-go basis, making it easier to manage your commitments.

How do I pay for sessions?

Payment is accepted by bank transfer. For your convenience, payment is due 48 hours in advance of your scheduled session.

What is your cancellation policy?

We kindly request a 48-hour notice for any cancellations. Sessions cancelled within this timeframe will be subject to the full fee.

Do I have to be diagnosed as neurodivergent to have counselling with Gemma?

No, you do not need to have a formal diagnosis of neurodivergence to seek counselling with Gemma. Diverse Therapy Gemma Silander Counselling welcomes all individuals seeking support.

What are Gemma's qualifications?

Gemma holds diplomas on both psychotheraputic and person-centred counselling. She has also had specialist training in working with children and young people, and completes a minimum of 30 hours of additional training (CPD) every year. Gemma is an accredited registrant with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, having met the training and CPD requirements of the required standard.

Does Gemma have a DBS check?

Yes, Gemma holds an up-to-date enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, ensuring her suitability to work with vulnerable individuals.
